With offices throughout Australia, this engineering consultancy has developed an enviable reputation in the fields of civil engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering and surveying. With a stable and growing project workload, they are now looking to make key strategic recruits in order to further grow their business.
They are seeking to employ Senior Geotechnical Engineer to develop and lead a Victorian Geotechnical Engineering Division, to work alongside established interstate Geotechnical Divisions. In this role, you will form part of the Victorian management team and report directly to the State Manager.
Consulting with a number of clients on geotechnical engineering issues related to residential building developments, your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the company's geotechnical systems in Victoria
- The management and further development of client relationships
- Recruiting and training a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians
- Soil sampling and classification in accordance with relevant standards
- Prepare and deliver reports outlining soil conditions and appropriate footing recommendations
- Liaising closely with structural engineers and contractors
- Managing project budgets and reporting group financials
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- A recognised Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- 10+ years working as a geotechnical engineer in a consulting environment
- Significant experience in the residential building sector
- Proven business development skills
- Impeccable verbal and writing communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
This is an immediate opportunity for a Senior / Executive Engineer to utilise the company's national geotechnical systems and infrastructure, and strong local reputation, in order to develop a new business unit in Victoria.
Needless to say, you will be given the autonomy to manage and develop this business yourself, while being given continual support from senior management both within Victoria and interstate.
Given the seniority of this position, remuneration is negotiable and will be commensurate with the level, and relevancy, of your experience.
