A vibrant local municipality in the southeast are currently seeking a Traffic or Transportation engineer for a generous contract period. With an impending backlog of traffic and transportation issues within the council, this friendly transportation department is looking for an eager and enthusiastic civil engineer to join their team and assist across a broad range of traffic and transportation matters.

Candidates will be required to assist with the day-to-day traffic operations of the council, and provide a public interface to residents in dealing with these matters. These may include issues relating traffic flow, signage, speeding and black spot identification. Candidate will be capable of conducting traffic surveys as well as attending to various traffic issues with a rational approach. Candidates may also be required to assist with Transportation matters including the assessment of road networks to recommend potential improvements. Candidates may also be required to assist with the implementation of sustainable transport initiatives. Candidates with a proficient understanding of strategic transport strategies are also encouraged to apply.
