The Client:
Our client is a well renowned award-winning Global Cost Management consultancy, well established in Australia they are emerging from the GFC showing signs of good growth and in line with this they are looking to bolster their Cost Management team in Melbourne. The VIC team has a secure and exciting base of clients across both the Public and Private sectors with a current focus in Health, Education and Commercial projects coupled with increasing growth in Civil Infrastructure areas.
The Position:
The role requires a high-level of skill across multiple facets of Quantity Surveying, initially thanks to the high level of projects to undertake and clients to manage there will be hands on graft involved across cost management and analysis areas including contractual advice, risk and value management, due diligence and strategic planning. Coupled with this you will be expected to continue this high level of work across managing and reporting to a range of clients including some Business Development identifying opportunities with new and existing contacts.
The Requirments:
You will ideally have a tertiary degree in Quantity Surveying and experience within a building related field, with at least 10 years experience within a QS or PQS firm. Knowledge of contract administration, cost planning and estimating experience will be advantageous as well as the ability to communicate well with the client and develop good relations.
