Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy of Planners, Surveyors and Engineers, with a client base and offices across Victoria. A consistently busy project book requires the appointment of an additional senior level Planning Consultant to join the firms head office located in the inner south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
To be considered for this role candidates are expected to have a degree in Town Planning and significant professional planning experience gained within Victoria, and ideally within a consultancy environment. Your experience to date and high level of confidence to manage your own client and project portfolio means you will be able to hit the ground running, working on large subdivision applications and other planning work emanating from the surveying team, as well as identify sources of new business to further enhance the firms strong position within the local market.
As Senior Planner you will be required to run all aspects of the planning process from initial client contact, carrying out necessary research, drawing up proposals, advising surveyors and sub consultants, liaising regularly with clients, council and sub consultants and following the process through to achieving planning permission, and representing clients at VCAT if necessary. On a personal level you are adaptable, self-motivated and resourceful, with the drive and initiative to complete work on time and within budget, and the commercial astuteness and enthusiasm to assist management in further developing our clients brand across Victoria.
