Though 2009 has been a tough one for the retail shopfit and fitout industry the worm has turned and three new opportunities have arisen for candidates with a strong track record in the management of retail fit-out projects. Three companies, a boutique Construction Management firm, a prominent national retail fit-out group, as well as a prominent Melbourne Shopfitting firm are all seeking well qualified Site Managers/Construction Managers to oversee multiple projects.
To be considered for these roles you must have a track record in the retail fit-out sector and be able to manage multiple projects and shopfit contractors. Your organisational, problem solving and logistical skills must be first rate. Applications are keenly sought from individuals with a stable employment record in the Victorian construction sector coupled with formal building qualifications. These roles all require exceptional stakeholder liaison skills, in particular an ability to relate well to clients and subcontractors alike.
Salary packages in the $90k-$120k range are available, dependent upon your skills and experience.
