This building and development group has been one of the success stories in Australia over the past 20 years, and this success has been mirrored in their Melbourne operations, with the group becoming one of the mover and shakers locally. With a variety of projects underway in the $5m-$100m range they have a variety of projects, both internally and externally, to ensure continued growth and stability on projects that are interesting and challenging. Due to continued growth they are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to work autonomously on Cost Plans and a variety of tenders including Negotiated, D&C and Hard Dollar projects.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager you will be working as part of a six to seven man Estimating team with exceptional systems and support in place. As a Senior Estimator you will be involved in a variety of duties, including;

• Analysis and recommendation of construction methods and selection of suitable subcontractors for pricing
• Trade package compilation and distribution for pricing
• Issue revised drawings and addenda to the appropriate subcontractors and consultants
• Rating and coding of bills of quantities (measurement by external QS firms)
• Assessing subcontractor quotations and entry of these into the estimate
• Assist in post tender activities and project launch
• Mentorship and development of junior staff

To be considered for this role you must have tertiary qualifications in Building/Construction or Quantity Surveying and have a track record in the pricing and costing of commercial build projects. An attractive salary package, in the $90k to $130k range is available, dependent upon experience.
