The Company: Our client’s team has extensive experience and capability in the provision of professional services to the transport industry. Their transport clients include operators, owners and deliverers of key transport infrastructure - roads & bridges, rail, aviation and maritime.

Now with the recent boom they require an Estimator with first principle estimating expertise to join our clients rail division in Melbourne. Due to their exponential growth over the years they are now on a drive to recruit the best personnel to maximize their future potential.
About the Role: Due to the continued growth in our clients Victorian Office Rail Sector, they are looking for a confident estimating professional to join a successful team.
Some of the responsibilities and duties for this role will include:
- Preparing, submitting and managing key rail project estimates from scratch (Greenfield) including earthworks, track, signalling, power, overpasses, bridge work, tunnels, stations etc
- Pre Contract estimates
- Liaising with commercial team members and stakeholders
- Continuing to add value/adjust internal system
Benefits / Allowances: Part of the success of our client has been their ability to attract and retain the best staff. The salary for this role is negotiable at $130,000 - $170,000 and will include incentives such as company car, car spaces, mobile telephone, company credit card and structured bonuses.
Requirements: You will have a minimum of 10 years Estimating experience and fully understand the first principals of Estimating. Candidates will be expected to possess knowledge and skills attained during ????? ????? experience as a PQS or Civil Engineer within the Rail / PQS or consultancy and/or engineering ????? ????? (not a suitable role for a contractor background dealing in post contract work only).
Key Background:
- Experience on major rail projects and alliances
- Track record in rail infrastructure services and maintenance
- Previous exposure to rail project estimation essential
- Quantity Surveying Degree; Engineering ????? ?????(Civil) or similar
- As a Rail Estimator you will be working very closely with the delivery and commercial teams across key stakeholders.
