This award winning home builder located in inner eastern suburbs has an exciting opportunity for a draftsperson. Due to continued growth and success, this is a contract position for 3 – 6 months, with the view for permanency for the right candidate.
Your duties will be as follows:
Complete all drafting requirements as prioritised by the Manager.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations and design guidelines.
Highlight design related problems and liaise with the developments team to identify optimum solutions.
Handle design queries from site.
Participate in the integrated housing projects business across all areas as and when directed by the Manager.
Other related duties as directed.
Key Selection Criteria:
Drafting Certificate or equivalent with previous experience within the Residential Building Industry.
Computer literate in CAD (Archi CAD preferred) Software and Office Applications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
3 - 5 years experience within retail
You will have prior experience in documenting and drafting full working drawings, and have good knowledge of Rescode and BCA. Site related experience will also be looked upon favorably.
