Contracts Administrator/Junior Project Manager - Blue Chip D&C Contractor

  • An exceptional opportunity has arisen with Australia's most respected D&C builders who offer their clients a true end to end project delivery service. As part of continued growth in 2009 and forward workload into 2010 they are now seeking to appoint an individual with demonstrated experience in administering ????? ????? projects. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the project life cycle from Cost Planning/Estimating, Design Development, Pre-Contract Management through to Project Delivery and Post-Construction close out. This company is currently running up to 10 projects concurrently from $1m right through to $50m, on a national basis.

    In this role you will be involved at every stage of the project life cycle, with core duties in Contracts Administration at each stage. As a Contracts Administrator/Junior Project Manager within this group your core skills and responsibilities will include:

    • Client liaison & management
    • Manage design meetings with consultants and architects.
    • Coordinating with relevant authorities i.e. councils, utilities for duration of the project
    • Preparing ????? ?????.
    • Evaluating potential tenders including estimating quantities
    • Issuing Purchase Orders/ Contract agreements.
    • Assessing/preparation of monthly progress payment and variations for subcontractors
    • Managing project tasks reporting project based costs monthly to management including profit, revenue and forecast costs.
    • Manage ad-hoc administration tasks of a project.

    With a client list that includes some of the best blue chip companies in Australia this is truly an outstanding opportunity to work with a market leader on challenging build projects whilst also gaining exposure on the whole project life cycle. and enhance your skills and experience in commercial construction. Applicants are sought with tertiary qualifications in building/construction management and you must have proven skills in Contracts Administration with a commercial builder. A salary package in the $60k-$90k range will be negotiated, dependent upon your skills and experience.
