Superannuation (SMSF) - Manager

  • Manage the SMSF division / client facing role

  • Excellent conditions and remuneration

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Self Managed Superannuation Fund Senior Accountant / manager to take the lead role within the SMSF division of a boutique accounting practice.  This successful and respected firm delivers excellent service to its clients and creates a truly exceptional environment for its staff. This key role will see you working directly with the Partner group and become involved in all facets of managing the dedicated smsf division, including client servicing, administration, communicating with external auditors, staff management, and being responsible for programming and budgets. The option to also get involved in the business services side and potentially overseeing this area as well if you are so inclined.

The position would suit someone who is genuinely passionate about SMSF, and who is either currently advising clients or is ready to move into such a role.  You will be groomed for management if you are not already at the level.  Strong senior SMSF accountants who want much more than simply churning out reports are also encouraged to apply.  This role will see you effectively operating as the Partner's 2IC and relieving them of some of their responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of specialist superannuation experience at a leading professional services firm, and have covered all the accounting and audit requirements of SMSF funds, but above all you will have a passion for SMSF. Business services experience and a willingness to dabble in this area would be an advantage but not required.  Impeccable communication and the ability to effectively deal with clients and colleagues of all levels in a busy and challenging environment are essential.  It is also envisaged you would have completed either the CA or CPA programs.

If you are committed to a career in superannuation and wish to develop the full range of knowledge to the highest standards, be generously rewarded, and enjoy a highly supportive and comfortable work environment, then this opportunity should be explored.
