Experienced Risk Analyst sought to provide business analysis and research and contribute to recommendations supporting strategic and operational plans

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to provide business analysis and research into a specified area of business expertise. In addition, you will provide input into recommendations that support the development of effective strategic, tactical or operational plans and programs.
 
Specific accountabilities in the role will include:

  • Undertaking analysis, research, modelling, forecasting & diagnosis to identify patterns, trends or issues that may need a response
  • Interpreting data / outcomes to highlight business problems, risks and opportunities
  • Making recommendations for consideration in the formulation of tactical and operational  plans and initiatives
  • Coordinating post-implementation reviews of projects or plans, and analysing their impact on the achievement of the group's KPI's
  • Communicating findings and making recommendations to project managers or business leaders
  • Developing and undertaking or contributing to research projects
  • Providing one or more technical specialisations in data manipulation / interpretation, research and analysis
  • Recommending step improvements to existing business processes, systems and methodologies
To be successful in this Senior role you will have demonstrable experience in a similar role within a complex corporate environment. You will have sound experience in undertaking forecasting and modelling as well as analytical capabilities to identify patterns and diagnose trends. You will demonstrate an understanding of both credit risk and financial markets, and will have the ability to interpret data into business actions. Your technical skills will be of a high standard, including SQL, intermediate Excel, SAS (desired) and VBA (desired, not mandatory).
 
You will be highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously. Your strong communication skills will enable you to communicate technical outputs to non-technical customers. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business or professional discipline (e.g. statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, IT) are a requirement for this role.
