Database Administrator role in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast

In recognition of the occasional requirement for out-of-hours work, your standard week will be 34 hours; actual hours worked are flexible... you'll have a lot of autonomy!
The systems use Firebird/ Interbase, but we gladly consider those with skills with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or Postgres.
You will:
- Know what a normal form is, how to apply it and when not to apply it.
- Have worked with triggers, indexes, large complex queries.
- Know how to optimise a database for efficiency.
- Take ownership of the uptime of the databases.
With a history in software development (Delphi advantage), you will have an understanding of Windows and/or Linux administration.
