Senior Mining Engineer (Planning) - Open Cut - Bowen Basin

My client is an established mining company within the Queensland coal industry and requires the services of an experienced Mining Engineer to join their team.

You will be joining a professional team of engineers and will be responsible for coordinating the planning and operational management for their existing open cut mine.

Reporting to the technical services superintendent, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and optimising dragline and drill & blast designs
• Develop, maintain and communicate mining plans, budgeting and cost control
• Conducting planning and reports of business and budget statistics
• Project Management and supervision of junior engineers

Ideally you will possess:

• Degree in Engineering (Mining)
• 7+ years experience mining engineering ????? ????? coal
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience
Extensive mine planning and operations management experience
• Proficient in utilising both Vulcan and Xpac software
• Ability to communicate plans and facilitate relevant meetings

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $120K-$140K + Benefits.

Salaries outside this range will be considered for applicants with exceptional skills.
