You are a tertiary qualified mining engineer with at least five years experience preferably with a leading mining contractor. Having recently extended their operations in Queensland's Bowen Basin region, our client will seeking the services of a Senior Project Engineer early in the New Year. To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate a stable career background, experience in an open cut coal environment and have a strong and vibrant personality.
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include: managing mine design, planning and scheduling; relevant regulatory approvals; ensuring that all work practices and systems are in compliance with project statutory requirements; and oversight of maintenance and operational aspects such as safety and budget control.
Being residentially based in the Bowen Basin, you will be able to travel home each evening. Alternatively, you can reside on the coast and reside in camp accommodation whilst on site.
