Here is an opportunity to gain experience working for a large, successful and long standing coal operation in the Bowen Basin region, west of Mackay.

Due to the start of a new internal project, there has been a re-shuffle in the Commercial team. This change has created a vacancy for a Site Accountant, for the project duration (4-5 months).

Working with another accountant you will be involved in the monthly management reports and be heavily involved in the review and analysis of cost control for departments as well as budgeting & forecasting. You will also play a part in the commercial functions of the business and contribute to the maintenance of business systems.

Excellent reporting and communication skills are essential, as your provision of information to management and department heads are fundamental to the effective running of the business. Mining industry experience, particulary site based, will ensure a smooth transition into this position.

This is a Monday - Friday position, based on site. Accommodation and meals will be provided, in addition to a competitive rate.
