Experience mine surveyor with current registration

Underground experience preferred

This International and well branded Mining organisation is the worlds largest producer of export thermal coal and a significant producer of coking coal. With the extent of the operation, the company needs a statutory mine surveyor to provide and coordinate an effective survey service and support for the mine

Responsibility:

• Ensure work practices & systems are consistent with the statutory requirements.
• Lead and manage the surveying activities within budget and informing other technical team members of surveying activities taken place
• Regularly reviewing the survey systems, resource needs, the performance of the surveying team and the development of short and long term plans
• Drive the development of annual survey budgets and reports on performance against production, cost and labour with the survey cost centre.
  

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in a related subject
• Minimum 5 years experience and must be registered
• Experience in underground operations, preferably coal
• Good understanding of HSEC policies and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills verbally & written
• A passion for the mining industry
