Senior Site Executive (SSE) - Mining

This International and well branded Mining organisation with its head office in Brisbane is looking for an Operations Manager to manage a large and complex mine in Central Queensland near Emerald in the Bowen Basin.

The organisation is one of the top most diversified Metals & Mining organisations in the world who continue to grow and create value over the long term, forming mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for leading a large and complex underground or open cut coal mine
• Ensure all production and budgetary targets and deadlines are met
• Provide on going leadership and development of the operation complemented by contributing to the senior management team
• Accountable for a large team of managers and technical specialists
• Responsible for all Safety, Health and Environmental operations of the mine
  

Requirements:

• Preferably degree qualified
• Successful and extensive track record in managing and developing a large mining operation
• Able to lead and earn the respect of the existing team
• Proven abilities in implementing new and improved operating strategies in a coal mining environment
• Someone who is energetic, decisive and achievement orientated looking for a new challenge
