Principal Regional Development Officer - Area Manufacturing Specialist

Your key accountabilities and deliverables
- Target, promote and deliver programs and services to assist manufacturing ????? ?????, including dealing with the impact of the effects of the global economic crisis and positioning for future growth.
- Work with manufacturers to develop and implement strategies to improve competitiveness and assist growth consistent with the Queensland Government’s economic development objectives, and sectoral and regional priorities. In particular, provide support tailored to manufacturing ????? ????? facilitate:
- business, regional and industry development
- export growth
- investment attraction and capital raising
- research and development, technology take-up and innovation in products, services and processes
- development of commercial alliances, networks and supply chain involvement
- skills formation and enhancement of the image of manufacturing.
- Maintain effective partnerships and relationships with key manufacturing ????? ????? development stakeholders at local, regional, state and national level as appropriate.
- Provide regular feedback to regional Centres on client interactions, and to the Department on opportunities and issues impacting on the manufacturing ????? ?????.
- Deliver training, mentoring ????? ????? to other Regional Development Officers interacting with manufacturing ????? ?????.
- Provide accurate and timely reports, briefings, submissions and other documentation as required.
- Coordinate and maintain manufacturing ????? ????? the Department’s client relationship management system.
- Liaise with, and make referrals to, specialist agencies and provide ongoing client support as necessary, through and beyond the delivery of advice and services by third parties.
