Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer

  • An excellent opportunity is currently available for an energetic and proactive Electrical Engineer to be responsible for designing, planning and implementing the installation and maintenance of electrical/instrumentation equipment across a busy manufacturing ????? ?????, which operates on a 24 X 7 continuous basis.

    This newly created, challenging position forms a critical part of the Company’s engineering ????? ????? reports directly and works in a support role to the Engineering ????? ?????.

    The primary role of the position is to manage the Hazardous Zone Electrical Dossier and associated works, identify and implement reliability improvements to the operation's instrument and electrical equipment and systems. In addition, the role will be to lead the implementation of selected projects under the site Capital Program and site Strategic Plan.

    The position will be required to liaise closely with the Operational Maintenance Co-ordinator and the electrical team to assess problems and failures, review priorities and advise on repair methods and the efficient use of internal and external resources.

    Key Position Requirements:

    • Proven skills and experience in co-ordinating the electrical and control systems associated with industrial/manufacturing ????? ?????
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems, PLC’s and instrumentation equipment and processes
    • Proven project engineering ????? ????? the ability to design, develop and manage projects aimed at improving production capabilities and plant reliability
    • Well developed leadership and staff supervisory skills, including the ability to monitor staff output and performance and attend to front line HR issues
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice, environmental protection principles and current environmental legislation
    • High level troubleshooting and problem solving skills including the ability to provide technical advice to an Engineering ????? ?????
    • Effective computer skills including exposure to Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Citect and engineering ????? ?????
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in the Electrical Engineering ????? ?????/or relevant post trade qualifications

    Desirable Position Requirements:

    • Exposure to Hazardous Zone compliance
    • Experience with using SAP software
