Exciting opportunity now exists for an Experienced Purchasing Officer looking to join a reputable building & construction company within South West Sydney specialising within fit out & joinery contracts who's projects range up to $4M.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role will see working alongside a Project Estimator and will see you responsible for purchasing of operational raw building materials whilst ensuring ????? ????? outcome, service & pricing, coupled with the following:
- Prepare orders, forecasting, monitor raw materials, pricing, researching of new products
- Supplier negotiation across materials, lead time, service, product range whilst ensuring ????? ????? pricing
- Obtain quotations & pricing whilst ensuring ????? ????? company standards
- Ensure goods are received on time & within negotiated delivery schedules
- Inventory control & stock take
- Processing of supplier invoices for payment
- Weekly & Month end reporting
- Adhoc & administrative duties as required
Ideal Candidate will have
- 3-4 years Purchasing experience, within the trades/ building/ construction or similar industries
- Good understanding of raw building materials & ability to differentiate between similar products
- Demonstrated experience with reviewing processes, reducing costs & managing positive supplier relationships
- Excellent communications, time management & organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Hands on MYOB Systems & Microsoft experience
- Ability to meet conflicting deadlines whilst working within a team environment
