Irrigationist

The Coast Golf Club seeks a qualified greenkeeper with specialist irrigation skills.

The Coast is a par-70 seaside links at Little Bay in the south-eastern suburbs of Sydney. The coastal location provides magnificent views and a significant challenge for greenkeeping staff. The Irrigationist is a key position and specialized skills and experience are therefore essential.

Greenkeeping qualifications, preferably Cert. IV or equivalent, chemical spraying and Drivers License are required.

Reporting to the Course Superintendent (CS), the Irrigationist is responsible for the efficient use of water on the course, including reticulation and drainage. Previous experience working with computerised water systems is essential.

Supervisory experience will be highly regarded as the successful applicant may be required to act in a position of responsibility in the absence of more senior staff.

The successful applicant will be required to work a flexible pattern of hours, seasonally dependent on irrigation and drainage needs of the course.

An attractive remuneration package based on an overtime-exempt agreement will be offered in accordance with the skills and experience of the successful applicant. An indicative salary range is $47K to $50K plus super.
