Our client, the Catholic Diocese of Lismore, is a large, diverse organisation that oversees 28 Parishes along the picturesque coastline of New South Wales that extends from the Tweed River in the North to Laurieton/Port Macquarie in the South. The Diocese oversees the administration of a wide range of facilities including schools, health and aged care and retreat centres.
An excellent opportunity is currently available for a highly motivated individual with high-level payroll skills and experience to join the HR team of this well-established and progressive regional organisation, which employs up to 3000 staff over various sites.
The major accountabilities of this position include providing a payroll administration service throughout the organisation in accordance with Payroll Management – Australian Industry Standards, develop and implement processes to improve payroll systems and develop reports to measure and analyse risks and the effectiveness of risk control strategies within rostering/payroll administration.
Key Position Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience with effective implementation of payroll system process and planning
- Comprehensive knowledge of computerised payroll systems
- Demonstrated capacity in developing, implementing and reviewing corporate payroll policies and procedure
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- High level organisational and planning skills
- Well developed computer skills utilising Excel and previous experience with Inzenius payroll software would be highly regarded
The position is based in the regional centre of Lismore. The Centre has a full range of facilities and services including a University, several hospitals and specialist medical facilities and numerous public and private schools. Lismore is ideally situated close to popular North Coast beaches (including Byron Bay) and World Heritage National Parks. It is within two hours drive of the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
