CMV Truck and Bus Pty. Ltd. is the Victorian Dealer for Volvo Group Australia which distributes their global truck brands, Volvo, Mack and UD Trucks within this country. CMV operates five retail Dealerships and another eleven satellite operations throughout Melbourne and Victoria. At our major sites, we sell, service and provide spare parts for Volvo Truck and Bus vehicles.
Volvo is the second largest manufacturer of heavy trucks in the world and markets its products in 180 countries. Therefore, the knowledge gained with working with Volvo brand in Australia is transferable to many other countries and can open up the opportunity to travel the world, working with a great global brand.
CMV has operated this fasttrack (3 years) Appentice scheme in partnership with TAFE for a number of years and conducts two intakes per annum for our own Training School. We employ full time Trainers and have a curriculum aimed at quickly developing the talents of young people to enable them to become fully qualified Diesel Technicians. This is a wonderful career opportunity and is ideal for the recent school leaver or the person who has not yet settled into a career, who would like the opportunity to work with a major brand.
The ideal applicant has a solid Secondary College education with good reading and compehension skills, with a "leaning" towards a trades career with an interest in "things mechanical". Above Award rates of pay apply with regular fasttrack salary reviews, based on six monthly assessments. Interested?
