(ATI) is an independent, non-profit community organisation providing advocacyservices to older people and people with disabilitiesacross Tasmania since 1990. A recent review of alcohol,tobacco and other drug (ATOD) services in Tasmaniacommissioned by the Department of Health andHuman Services identified as a key priority the need todevelop both Consumer and Carer ParticipationPrograms and Advocacy Services. ATI has received thefunding necessary to develop, implement and operatethese programs and services.1. Coordinator of ATOD ServicesResponsible for coordinating the development, im-plementation, operation, promotion and evaluation ofa range of ATOD Consumer and Carer ParticipationPrograms and Advocacy Services.The successful applicant will ideally have: project management /coordination experiencegood team building and leadership skills excellent interpersonal, communication and net-working skills the ability to work autonomously the ability to support the principles of advocacy a genuine interest, respect and commitment to therights and interests of ATOD consumers and theircarers Ideally, the person will also have knowledge andwork experience specific to the ATOD sector butthis is not essential.The position is full-time with salary paid at Commun-ity Services Award Level 7 grade 1. Salary packagingis available. Intra-state travel is required. Motor vehicleprovided2. Policy OfficerResponsible for policy development and implemen-tation in line with service delivery for AdvocacyTasmanias ATOD (.5 FTE) and HACC and Disability(.5 FTE) programs and services.The successful applicant will ideally have experiencein: policy development and implementation the submission of quality written and oral infor-mation the ability to develop, promote and deliver edu-cation and training media experience a genuine interest, respect and commitment to therights and interests of ATOD consumers and theircarers ideally, the person will also have knowledge andwork experience specific to the ATOD sector butthis is not essential.The position is full-time with salary paid at theCommunity Services Award Level 6 rate. Salarypackaging is available.
