My client, a 100% Australian owned and managed company, offering ????? ????? range of freight forwarding services to the Australian market. Strong in airfreight, they are fast becoming a well recognized brand in Melbourne who takes pride in developing their product as well as their people. Due to considered and careful continued growth throughout the difficult times we have faced over the last 18 months, they are in need of an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.
Reporting directly to the Finance and Administration Manager, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong ability in Accounts, primarily payable, and have excellent communication skills. Experience in a freight forwarding environment will be highly regarded, however is not essential. A minimum of 2 years experience working in an accounts payable capacity is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to undertake the following tasks as a part of their daily work routine (but not limited to) -
- Account reconciliation for payment
- Processing of creditors invoices
- Liaise with both Local and International creditors
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Petty Cash reconciliation, maintenance and reimbursement
- Purchase and processing of foreign currency payments
The successful candidate will be a well presented, articulate and mature person who can take direction as well as work autonomously. Experience working with the freight operating system 'Cyberfreight' would be beneficial.
