The National Electrical and Communications Association (“NECA”) is the peak national body representing contractors and others associated with the electrotechnology industry. We are affiliated with similar organisations in the United States, Pacific Rim and European Union.
We are establishing a new training business to service our members and the industry in NSW and the ACT and are looking for a dynamic, results oriented professional to take up the position of General Manager.
Reporting to the CEO of our NSW and ACT Chapters, this role will be responsible for the development of our existing training operations into a fully functional, dynamic Registered Training Organisation.
You are an entrepreneurial and innovative leader with a minimum of 5 years senior management experience, preferably in connection with the electrotechnology and/or building and construction industries. You will possess a sound understanding of the RTO sector, Australian school education sector, AQTF and legislative requirements, Scope of Registration and delivery of face to face and on-line learning with continuous improvement. A demonstrated knowledge of the operations of group training companies and management of apprentices will also be of assistance.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Development and management of a new RTO
- Liaison with government and regulatory bodies involved in the VET sector as well as industry stakeholders and partners across Australia and internationally
- Using your commercial acumen to lead business growth
- Utilising your skills to solve problems in a complex and dynamic operational environment
- Undertaking project management to point of delivery
- Development of sound strategic, business and financial plans to support the development of the organisation.
