Housing Officer
- South Western Sydney
- 6 month maternity contract
- Real Estate or Social Housing experience required
Our client, a growing social housing provider in the South Western Sydney area is looking for an experienced Property Officer / Housing Manager for a 6 month maternity contract.
Duties include:
- Regular inspections of properties, including in-going and outgoing inspections
- Negotiation with owner / Real Estate Agent regarding repairs when necessary.
- Handling telephone calls and enquiries from tenants and the public.
- Available to visit residents on request.
- Encourage tenant’s awareness of participation activities.
- Establish an awareness of neighbourhood and community issues, values and culture.
- To assist in jointly managing a defined property portfolio within a Neighbourhood management group.
- Ensure effective and concise communication with all residents, colleagues and external agencies.
- To utilise any language skills to assist communication with customers of a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
Experience/competencies required:
- Previous Property management experience working either within a real estate or social housing setting
- Proven track record of good customer service skills
- Highly organised
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Car and drivers license
