Job Description
Duties
As the National Science and Technology Centre, Questacon strives to be accessible to all Australians. To support this national commitment, an extensive range of outreach programs has been developed by Questacon and its partner organisations.
Questacon outreach programs employ a diverse range of communication media and styles to reach many different communities and audiences in regional, rural, remote and metropolitan areas. The Indigenous Policy Officer will contribute to an increased involvement of Indigenous people with Questacon's programs and exhibitions to extend and enrich this reach.
The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills, and proven ability to develop and maintain organisational partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Notes
This position may require travel within Australia.
Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for a specified term
Non-Ongoing Full time position until 30 June 2010. Any extension of this period will be in accordance with Regulation 3.6.
