My client is a market-leading software house with a superb range of products & solutions & an array of blue chip clients across the globe. They have an exciting raft of projects underway are are looking for a Test Lead to be responsible for leading a team of Test Analysts and ensuring ????? ????? test strategy is executed.

The key responsibilities in addition to the above will include monitoring ????? ????? in progress and ensuring ????? ?????/timeframes are met. In addition you can expect to review test scripts and plans written by the team and to ensure quality standards using testing methodologies like V-Model & Waterfall are being met. You will be expected to contribute towards staff development by providing ongoing support and mentoring ????? ????? reviews. 

In terms of the required skills I am looking for a candidate with at least 7+ years manual testing experience and 2 or 3 years formal team leadership. Technically you will be very proficient in SQL and Visual Studio and have extensive experience testing web & server applications in a windows environment. A familiarity providing testing within an Agile development process is very much preferred.

Some very desirable skills to complement the above include experience with Mercury Quality Centre and knowledge of SQL Server 7/2000/2005/2008 would be beneficial as would experience with message based testing tools.

This position will typically suit somebody who comes from a fast paced software house environment where priorities can often change quickly so it is important that you are adaptable in your approach. This is very much a 'hands on' lead role and as the senior test resource you will be expected to be involved with writing test scripts/cases. In the longer term there maybe scope for you to introduce and implement automated tools to the testing process.

In terms of personal qualities you must have a high ownership culture, be able to work with minimal supervision & possess excellent communication skills. My client has a collaborative & supportive working environment so it is expected that you will help contribute to this in terms of cascading knowledge, promoting best practice etc.
