One of Australia's most highly regarded employers in the banking industry is looking for a highly experienced  Database Developer with strong skills in MS Server and SQL Database development expertise.
 
Responsibilities include:

• Setting up a 'Proof of Concept'  SQL Database


• Migrating Sybase\UNIX Database to SQL\Microsoft platform        


• Decommissioning Sybase Scripts which have been migrated to SQL


• Developing scripts\routines to copy rates entered into SQL to Sybase


• Work with the Support team to produce installation and back out plans, including Application disaster recovery Plans


• Provide Project Support to Market Risk, Test Team, UAT and Implementation

Successful candidates will possess:

• MS Server and SQL 2008 DB development expertise


• Sybase (v12.5.4) technical knowledge


• Experience migrating Sybase to SQL databases


• Knowledge of Information Security features within MS Server, SQL, Active Directory and Kerberos.


• Extensive practical knowledge of current database standards, technologies, methodologies and best practice


• Experience working on large corporate database projects ($500K or larger)
