Due to increasing workloads this is a newly created role for a senior civil engineering role for a landfill design expert. The key responsibilities include project management, design work, design drawing preparation, technical specification preparation, site investigation, client liaison and direction and motivation of junior staff.

Once familiar with the processes the successful candidate will take on an official project management role within the company. Project management would include management of staff and budgets on small to medium scale projects.
The key responsibilities of this role are;

• Design of landfill cells and caps, often involving the use of geosynthetics;
• Design of tailings storage systems;
• Water optimisation studies for mine sites;
• Dam surveillance reports for mine sites;
• Geotechnical assessment;
• Slope stability assessment of tailings and waste, particularly involving geosynthetics;
• Works Approval Applications/Permitting for landfill sites;
• Environmental Audit and construction quality assurance of landfill construction;
• Landfill gas assessment and monitoring;
• Annual reporting for landfills.

Additionally the Civil Group works on many multi-discipline projects and the incumbent will work on other environmental and geotechnical projects. For more information about this opportunity please contact
