There is an immediate requirement for an Asset Management Officer to work for a passionate Local Government team. This City Council is situated within a high growth area and is currently managing an impressive and diverse asset management portfolio. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running and who values a healthy working lifestyle.    
  
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading, assisting, developing, implementing and maintaining the best practice in asset management to improve community outcomes.
• Developing business policies and procedures with service units to receive and collect asset information for asset management and asset maintenance plans.
• Establish and delivering surveys for asset information, condition rating &  monitoring.
• Ensure that all works carried out in the renewal, upgrading or creation of new assets is recorded in the Asset and Maintenance Management System (AMMS) and a full asset and maintenance history established.
  
• Undertake revaluations of asset data sets, consistent with the Council's Revaluation Policy enabling compliance with relevant standards including facilitation of asset condition and lifecycle reviews.
  
The ideal candidate would possess:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, knowledge and several years experience in asset management systems and asset management plans would be ideal. Exceptional communication skills, effective problem solving skills, ability to undertake fieldwork and manual tasks and to analyse assets and data is advantageous.
