Senior Rail Electrification Engineer

Our Melbourne CBD based Rail Group is well developed and in a key growth area.  To meet the present demand we are currently seeking experienced Senior Rail Electrification Engineers, reporting directly to the Manager - Rail.
 
The successful candidates will be required to:

• Act as Project Directors/Job Manager for a wide range of commissions, delivering ????? ????? budget, time and quality.


• Develop and deliver multidisciplinary projects in all rail-based technologies


• Provide technical / design capability to projects as required and manage the activities of engineering ????? ????? staff in this area 


• Assist the Manager - Rail in developing GHD's Rail Consultancy both locally and nationally

 
Specific skills and experience:

• At least 5 years postgraduate experience


• Good marketing, business development and client relationship skills


• Demonstrated experience in project development, design, construction and maintenance would be ideal.


• Ideally you will possess a wide knowledge of rail systems and the rail industry, with specific experience in:

                      - 1500 V DC, 750 V DC and 25 kV AC Traction systems
                      - Design of Wiring ????? ?????, Attachments and Structures
                      - Switching and Isolating Arrangements
                      - Preparation of Isolation and Switching Diagrams
                      - Interfaces with Substations and SCADA system
                      - Power Studies
 
You will hold a relevant electrical engineering ????? ????? equivalent and have the eligibility for membership to a recognised Engineering ????? ????? other professional body.   You will also demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills, with a strong client focus and the ability to work well within a team environment.
