Position Purpose
The International Admissions Officer is an important member of the International Marketing and Recruitment team. The International Admissions Officer is typically the first point of contact between prospective students or recruitment agencies and the University. He or she is responsible for processing international student applications accurately and in a timely manner to maximise the conversion of enquiries into applications and enrolments.
Principal Accountabilities
- Respond professionally, accurately and in a timely manner to inquiries by email, mail, fax, telephone or in person using the University’s customer relationship management system.
- Check the completeness of documentation lodged with applications for admission to award and non-award courses.
- Accurately enter data onto the University’s application database.
- Liaise with other members of the admissions and marketing teams on admissions issues.
Typical Duties
- Respond to enquiries received by email, mail, fax, telephone or in person in a timely fashion.
- Acknowledge applications and other correspondence, assess applications for completeness of documentation and request further documentation as appropriate.
- Enter application details for both award and non-award courses onto the University’s database accurately.
- Generate non-award offer letters to approved applicants.
- Process non-award course payments, update student databases, create and send electronic Confirmation of Enrolments (eCOE).
- Arrange DHL / courier shipments as required.
