  • An excellent career opportunity to join one of Victoria’s most influential municipalities in this newly created position to assist in the provision of a comprehensive and cost effective Procurement Service to all stake holders including Council, residents, management and staff.

    In this role you will be required to assist the Procurement Advisor in ensuring ????? ????? is managed effectively by adhering ????? ????? council policies and procedures and accreditation requirements, deliver the purchase of items that are controlled centrally including furniture, mobile phones and stationery, assist the Procurement Advisor in the administration and control of the Council’s corporate purchase cards, assist the Procurement Advisor in the managing various reporting systems, convert approved Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders within agreed timeframes, assist the Procurement Advisor with analytical support as required including but not limited to maintaining the preferred Supplier database and keeping track of procurement savings across all categories, and provide data entry assistance to the Finance Department when required. Excellent Customer Service is required at all times.

    You will also be required to manage tender processes from start to finish which will include: Developing the tender documentation including selection criteria and evaluation plan; Facilitate the development of legal contracts in consultation with an internal legal unit; Undertake all relevant administrate tasks associated with the procurement process; and Plan and adhere to set project timelines.

    To be successful for this position, you will need a demonstrated knowledge of Australian Government Procurement processes and knowledge of administration of electronic tendering ????? ?????, proven ability to work methodically and accurately in times of high workload and tight timeframes, excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of staff and clients.
