Restructuring in preparation for significant growth has created a new career opportunity for a Quality Assurance specialist from the food industry. Located rurally in South East Queensland near the NSW border the company is a major supplier of organic products to national retail chains and poised for an export led expansion.
Mentored by the Plant Manager, and leading those involved in hands- on quality checks in the factory, this role will drive the HACCP program and all associated compliance and customer audits. Responsible for the Quality system, there will be an emphasis on maintaining hygiene standards and accountability for food safety, employee safety and environmental protection.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to grow beyond this role and assume broader quality responsibilities in other areas of the business. A Food Sciences or similar qualification will be supported by 3 – 5 years QA experience. Knowledge of the meat, fish or poultry industry will be an advantage.
