An experienced Mechanical Drafting professional is required to join a multi-national engineering team - you will; have excellent Autocad or Inventor abilities, good communication skills and most importantly have Power, Energy or heavy engineering experience.
The client has an excellent reputation within the marketplace having an impressive track record of project delivery for major projects in distribution, transmission, substations and power plants.
Ultimately you will be responsible for providing drafting support to the design team responding to customer specifications by preparing arrangement drawings, manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials.
The role;
- Preparing models, working drawings and bills of material
- Answer queries raised by the manufacturing plants or other departments
- Liaising with engineering team and CAD Administrator
- Drawing for manufacture
- Bill of materials
- Maintenance of drawing sets
- Read and understand a customer specification
- Produce preliminary drawings for tendering/ proposals where necessary.
- Produce manufacturing drawings to Australian Standards and to client specifications and requirements
- Attend Design reviews.
- Assist manufacturing with drawing issues
- Maintain drawings sets for each contract/ project
- Maintain project file for each contract/project
You require;
Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
Min 2 years in Mechanical Engineering/Drafting
Working knowledge of Autocad and/or Inventor software
Ideally a knowledge of the transmission and distribution experience
Proven technical drafting experience
Ability to follow and understand comprehensive written instructions
Excellent verbal, written communication skill
High levels of self motivation and enthusias
Strong work ethic
