Position Purpose:
The purpose of this Maintenance Manager position is to develop, implement & review the overall Maintenance Strategy ensuring ????? ????? of plant whilst controlling costs.
The duties & responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Managing maintenance performance of all mobile and fixed plant that is associated with the site
- Leading & developing a team of Superintendents
- Ensuring ????? ????? work environment is provided; promote safety awareness and safe work practices to eliminate accidents
- Monitoring ????? ????? weekly reports from each area to analyze the causes of downtime and develop recommendations to prevent this downtime.
- Compiling, reviewing, reconciling and controlling manning and financial budgets to ensure the maintenance costs and manning levels operate at maximum efficiency.
- Engaging and managing contractors & consultants as required
- Developing departmental budgets
Position Requirements:
We require a high calibre professional for this senior management role. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing overall maintenance activities and maintenance teams at a large open pit site.
Specific skills & experience required include:
- Demonstrated experience in managing maintenance teams
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field
- Solid experience in budgeting & cost control
- An ability to think at a strategic level with a holistic understanding of an operation
