Electronics Engineer

Switchmode Power Supplies tests, repairs, refurbishes and calibrates Power Supplies from 2 Volts to 10 KiloVolts and up to 50 KiloWatts and other specialised equipment on request, for industry and defence.
Due to our ever-increasing desire to improve service to our clients; we have a challenging position for an enthusiastic Electronics Technician / Engineer with a high level of skill or potential in component-level electronics servicing, to work with our Engineering ????? ?????. This is an opportunity for a rewarding and long-term career with a successful ISO9001 accredited organisation of 24 years. Ideal candidate will have an Engineering ????? ?????, though a Diploma will be considered and live locally (within 20 Km) of Hornsby.

Essential requirements:-
* Understanding of electronic components;
* Ability to interpret schematics;
* Excellent soldering ????? ?????;
* Experience in component level diagnosis and repair;
* Thorough understanding of analogue circuits;
* Use and care of measurement tools;
* Be prepared for continuous studying.
Highly desirable skills:-
* Recognition of switchmode power supply topologies;
* Knowledge of calibration techniques (ISO17025);
* SMD level repair;
* Practical experience with defence and mission-critical equipment;
* Digital, DC and AF design ability;
* High PC proficiency, especially MS Office (Excel and Word).
* Eligibility for security clearance with defence department.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to sit some short written and practical tests to confirm their abilities. Full time position, 38 hours/week. Immediate start suitable for skilled Engineer at $50-70K+ commensurate with skill level and experience.
