The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is a not for profit organisation that has been helping to shape agriculture in Australia since 1822. Boasting a membership base of 12,000 people, the RAS is responsible for conducting the iconic Sydney Royal Easter Show and the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows as well as other events and activities throughout the year. The RAS manages Sydney Showground located at Sydney Olympic Park and the Australasian Animal Registry (AAR).

An opportunity now exists for an experienced administration expert to join the RAS working with our Foundation. This casual position offers variety and will suit applicants that are keen to hit the ground running. With fast and accurate administration skills combined with flexibility, an energetic approach to work, great attention to detail and communication skills this role has it all.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Full secretarial support, assistance and overall administration of the Executive Officer, RASF
- Answering ????? ????? and taking full and accurate telephone messages when necessary
- Assisting with the coordination of grant rounds
- Preparation of communications and newsletters for RASF supporters
- Managing diaries, travel, expense reconciliation and filing
- Coordinating monthly Board reports
- Agenda preparation and minute taking
Ideally you will be passionate about making a difference in the community. You should understand the importance of good customer service and have excellent organisational and time management skills. You must be a self motivated, enthusiastic and flexible team player, possessing a high level of personal commitment and focus.
You need:
- Proven experience with the use of the Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel at an intermediate level at the very least
- Well developed English verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to prioritise and multi-task on a daily basis
- A flexible , adaptable and "can-do" attitude to work
- Demonstrable office experience in an administration role
Experience working within a charity or foundation would beneficial for this role.
This position is a casual role up to 16 hours per week.
