Join the team and undertake criminal and civil investigations

Investigating serious corporate misconduct, the Corporations and Corporate Governance team work to improve governance standards and promote market confidence.

This collaborative, multi-skilled team investigates alleged breaches of the Corporations Act and Crimes Act and prepares detailed briefs of evidence for possible civil litigation, administrative action, and/or referral to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP).

If you have a background in investigations or experience in accounting, financial reporting or financial analysis then this is your opportunity to:

 

  • Scope and plan new investigation referrals to determine whether a matter should be investigated further and if so, how and what misconduct should be looked at.
  • Project manage investigations by ensuring ????? ????? timely resourcing of investigations and advising and directing staff on activities required to be completed on a matter.
  • Analyse evidence, documents and / or computer based records to determine what evidence is available to support allegations of misconduct and how that evidence can be obtained in admissible form.
  • Compile briefs of evidence where required (i.e. complete evidence matrixes, summary of facts, examinations, statement taking, completing investigator's memorandums, etc) and making outcome recommendations to allow the DPP to assess evidence gathered during ????? ????? so appropriate action can be taken.
