Swift is the largest meat processor, exporter and feedlotter inAustralia and this position offers the opportunity to join our industry leadingteam.Due to company expansion, the Position of Assistant Farm Manager hasbecome available.This position is based at Prime City a 35,000 head beef cattle feedlot andassociated farm in the Northern Riverina approximately 45 kilometres NorthWest of Griffith. The 6225ha site comprises 1540ha of irrigation and 4275ha ofdry land cropping utilised in the production of maize silage, cereal and legumecrops.The Assistant Farm Manager will provide operational support to the FarmManager across all aspects of farming operations at Prime City, including:* Planning and implementation of summer and winter cropping programs* Irrigation management* Budgeting and Reporting* Site compliance with OH&S, Q.A. and environmental regulations The successful applicant will be required to assist with the management of theday-to-day farming activities. Responsibilities will include:* Providing support and assistance with Irrigation management* Staff and Contractor Supervision* Farm planning and Maintenance * Hands on support within the Prime City FarmIdeally candidates will have previous experience in supervisory or managementroles within large farming enterprises, including experience with flood irrigationand broad-acre dry land farming.
