What is the role?
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Business Development Managerto manage a designated sales portfolio, and to ensure AaE continues to experience growth in the freight industry.
Your main areas of responsibility will include:
- Management of a Sales Portfolio ensuring revenue growth and profitability and meeting set targets.
- Liaising with the General Manager State Sales Manager NSW/ACT in the management of key accounts.
- Preparation and delivery of detailed reports and presentations on exiting customers and new business.
- Deliver and maintain effective customer communication, and maximise market share and profitability of products and services.
- Generation of new business for both existing customer base and new customers.
- Understanding how work outcomes and targets contribute to meeting sales revenue, profit and growth targets.
- Record, input and maintain relevant project information in a client management relationship database system.
- Develop and maintain effective communication at a national and state level, in relation to sales requirements and system parameters.
What experience do I need to have?
- Tertiary qualifications (highly desirable)
- Sales experience, preferably within the transport industry
- Strong communications skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations at a Senior Management level.
- Experience with client management relationship database systems.
- Knowledge of the following applications: USAS, Peoplesoft, Freight Master, and internet freight master or similar programs.
