DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER

An opportunity exists for community support works to work casually fo a leading disability organisation. You will be required to assist in the day prgrams with challengening and aggresive behaviours. 

Great opportunity to work with non- government community organisation which support and encourages independence to adults who have a disability, frail aged, and people with mental health concerns.

We are seeking for committed, caring ????? ????? are seeking flexible working hours. This work would suit a student studying within the industry, or parents who have experiences and want to be apart of the community.

In your role as community support worker you will assist with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, social support and light domestic housework. These positions involve you working out in the community and meeting a variety of clients throughout your work day.

You MUST have:

• Experience with adults with intellectual disability
• Able to work independently as well as be an effective and positive team member
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Certificate III disability or relevant qualification
• Current ACT Drivers licence
• Current First Aid Certificate or be welling to gain this qualification within the first month of employment.
