Our client is an Australian based exploration and development company who have a number of significant advanced projects in the prosperous Goldfields region of Western Australia. Having recently celebrated the commencement of production at one of these sites and with another project about to share the same success the company is in the midst of exciting times as they grow and develop into a world class operation.
In order to support their development they are currently in search of a number of key personnel to join their team. At present, they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Exploration Geologist & a Project Resource Geologist.
Senior Exploration Geologist
You will play a key role in generating and realising exploration opportunities for the company. In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Planning and implementing exploration programs
• Structural and geophysical interpretation
• Ongoing reporting
• Management of tenements
Project Resource Geologist
The Project Resource Geologist will be responsible for:
• Resource and Project Development
• Project/deposit interpretation and QAQC
• Resource Modeling
• Weekly and monthly reporting
To be considered for these roles, it is essential you have relevant tertiary qualifications, coupled with significant experience working in the field. Previous experience working within a gold mining environment will be highly regarded and exposure to underground production and grade control practises is essential. Strong computer skills and knowledge of GIS software packages (including Surpac) will also be required.
These permanent positions are offered on a residential basis living and working in Kalgoorlie and presents as an excellent opportunity to come on board with a company who are undergoing significant growth but still have the benefit of working in a small, close knit team environment.
