We have an exciting, new opportunity to join a highly successful exploration project. The company is about to commence a significant diamond drilling programme and will require a passionate 'explorationist' to assist with all aspects of this field work.

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will oversee all site work and ensure that drilling activities are managed in line with agreed timeframes and budgets. You will assist with some aspects of target generation, drill planning and data interp, however, the priority will be focused on the effective management of the diamond drilling programme. This will involve logging diamond core and supervision of the drilling contractor.

The position demands exceptional communication skills as well as the ability to work within small teams. A desire to apply your theoretical knowledge to a challenging gold system will also be a key component of this position. Other requirements will include:

• Sound knowledge of exploration based software packages
• Proven mapping, sampling & core logging experience
• Experience supervising diamond rigs
• A genuine desire to explore!

The role is offered on an extended FIFO roster and will most likely consist of an initial 3 month contract. A full-time, permanent position is highly likely but will be subject to the success of the initial contract position.
