Senior Mine Geologist

  • Our client is an exciting precious metal producer with operations across Western Australia. They have a proven track record of successfully managing a number of high-grade deposits and have recently committed to a comprehensive exploration programme. They have identified a number of exciting targets, both regional & near-mine, and expect to be advancing with at least 2 new projects within the next 12 - 18 months.

    The existing operations currently require a Senior Mine Geologist to take a leadership role across the mine geology team. Reporting to the Geology Manager, you will manage all day-to-day requirements associated with the production from a structurally complex underground deposit. You will also be expected to meet the following:

    • Leading a small - medium team (approx 3 - 5) and ensuring ????? ????? training and coaching is provided
    • Managing mine- mill reconciliations
    • Generation of geological models and assist with preparation of JORC compliant resources
    • Manage underground diamond drilling, including managing drilling contractor
    • Ensuring ????? ?????-control systems & procedures are maintained at all times

    The position will provide you with the opportunity to take direct responsibility for the underground operations while working closely with an on-site Geology Manager. The potential for new extensions &/or new mines gives scope for significant career advancement and a standard 5:2 roster will be offered. To take advantage of this role, it is expected you will bring ????? ?????:

    • Tertiary Qualifications in Geology
    • Previous experience with the leadership & mentoring ????? ????? - medium teams
    • Strong working knowledge of complex underground systems
    • Highly competent with Surpac or Vulcan (Surpac ideally)

    The role is offered on a residential basis (Monday - Friday roster). A highly competitive salary package will be available and relocation from all Australian locations can be provided.
