In this role you will supervise a small team of direct reports and additional contract labour staff, with the objective of sourcing, sorting, processing and transporting ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal cost effectively, within your operational region. You will be responsible for monitoring ????? ?????-ordinating the operational activities within all operational areas of the Branch.
This is a key role for our business, so you will have a proven track record in supervisory / leadership roles. You will have a demonstrated commitment to safety in all that you do, coupled with the ability to engage others. You will also be dedicated to best practice, have a passion for outcomes and be able to operate autonomously. A good understanding of the ferrous & non-ferrous metal industry is desirable.

To be successful in this role you will require:
- Qualifications in frontline management.
- Sound experience and proven success in leading teams in a production or process environment, ideally within the recycling industry
- Be able to read and interpret reports, graphs and charts identifying trends and variations and apply tactical responses
- A proven commitment to safety, preferably with formal OH&S qualifications
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) & interpersonal skills
- A self motivated approach
- Minimum level of intermediate computer skills is essential
This is a hands on role which offers many challenges. The successful applicant will become part of a strong team with absolute commitment to safety & customer service. Experience with trucks, fork lifts & excavators would be advantageous.
