Our client, based on the Gold Coast, is looking to fill this role immediately. Leadership and project management skills are essential for this role.

You will need to possess the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Environment / Geomorphology
• 6 plus years relevant experience in foreshore including: policies, operations, standards, regulations, legislation, services and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly written skills
• Superb ability to lead, train and mentor a team of junior officers
• Excellent Project Management and Planning skills and a demonstrable track record within this field
• MS Suite
• Strong investigative and problem solving skills.
• Some supervisory experience gained within a multi-disciplinary team would be greatly advantageous
• Possession of a current C Class Drivers Licence is mandatory
  

You will be working out in the field as well as in the office 50/50.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Leadership, workflow management, staff development, mentoring ????? ????? management
• Demonstrate expert knowledge, investigate and prepare reports, policies, procedures
• Contribute to an atmosphere of responsible safety, quality and environmental performance
• Conduct investigations, record data and provide timely responses to concerns regarding
• Ensure effective operations, maintenance and asset management plans are in place
• Lead the development of operational investment services and programmes
• Provide expert advice, support and guidance
• Lead the development of renewal investment programmes
• Provide advice and support for regulatory and insurance services as directed.
• Disaster & major events management
