The Swanston Centre Acute Unit is a 24-bed facility providing inpatient care to adults experiencing an acute mental illness. The Swanston Centre acute unit has recently participated in the Creating Safety Project which looked at ways to minimise use of seclusion.

We are now seeking to employ a registered nurse who will take a lead role specifically with clients who present as requiring ????? ????? of observation, management and treatment. This position will work with the shift manager to introduce and implement the various therapeutic modalities that will minimise the use of seclusion. The position will also support and facillitate the education and training of staff in these modalities.
